Our time working together at the Kings Theatre

When I was maintenance manager at the Kings Theatre, Peter was one of the more active volunteers, between us we knew every nook and cranny of that place. But my most memorable and proud moments was when we were tasked to build a ramp from street level down into the stalls. The ramp needed to be sturdy enough to take a ten ton "cherry picker" which was required to survey the auditorium ceiling. We set too with timber and tools and produced the ramp. Such was the trust that management had in us that no one questioned whether what we had built would stand the weight, fortunately it held up and never moved an inch, phew!!
